HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF LINGA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Linga National High School, formerly Linga Public High School is situated at the heart of Barangay Linga in the blessed town of Pila, Laguna; a few steps from Linga Elementary School.

Thru the effort of the late Elementary School Principal, Mr. Guillermo Daguinsin with the support of the PTA President, Mr. Vicente Pillas and Brgy. Captain Benigno Ramos, the school was established.
On April 10, 1969, the school was formerly inaugurated.

In the school year 1969 – 1970, Linga National High School classes started with five faculty members and 187 enrollees. Mr. Daguinsin acted as their principal.

Due to the increasing number of students, additional faculty members were asked to join the teaching force and Mrs. Remedios Alianza was named Principal after Mr. Daguinsin’s retirement.

From 1984 to 2001, Mrs. Yolanda N. Tajao was appointed school head.

In 1988, Linga Public High School became Linga National High School.  In the same year, the salaries of the teachers were nationalized.

At present, the school is under the management of Mrs. Evangeline P. Gonzaga.

In 2002, a two-storey building was constructed to cater the needs of its increasing number of students. The following year, a covered court was also constructed.  Both constructions were funded by the office of the Provincial Governor, Teresita S. Lazaro.

Thru the effort of the reigning principal, sufficient equipments and instructional materials was acquired.

Indeed, LNHS is fulfilling its mission of providing access to quality education for everyone
